In short
  • Impressions doesn’t collect any data. There is no Impressions server.
  • Your Search Console data goes from Google to your device and stays there.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking, on the app or this website.
  • Delete all data & sign out removes everything the app saved.

What Impressions can see

When you sign in, Google asks you to give Impressions read-only access to Search Console. With that access the app can read:

  • the list of sites (properties) your Google account can view,
  • performance data: clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, queries, pages, countries and devices,
  • URL inspection results and sitemap status.

It can’t change anything in Search Console, and it can’t see your Gmail, Drive or any other Google data.

Where your data is kept

Numbers are downloaded from Google directly to your iPhone, iPad or Mac and saved in the app’s storage on that device. Your sign-in token is kept in the device Keychain. Nothing is sent to the developer. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may include the app’s storage in your device backup.

The This Week note

The weekly note is written on your device by Apple Intelligence. The numbers it uses and the text it writes are not sent to any cloud AI service.

Purchases and alerts

Subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. The developer receives Apple’s standard sales reports, which don’t identify you. Alerts are local notifications scheduled and checked on your device.

Google API data

Impressions’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. The web host may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security. They aren’t used for anything else.

Deleting your data

  • In the app: Settings → Delete all data & sign out.
  • Deleting the app also deletes everything it saved.
  • To remove Impressions’s access at Google, open Settings → Manage Google access, or visit your Google Account’s third-party connections page.
